My name is Bee and I'm the one developing, creating and packaging the pieces in Pineapple Phi. I've always been creative and started making things at a young age. Through the years, I've jumped from medium to medium, before settling on woven wall hangings made with a variety of fibers. I worked in that space for 5+ years before focusing more on jewelry.

Growing up, I always made jewelry and accessories because I couldn’t find pieces that I wanted to wear… so I made my own. I started selling jewelry in 2019 at the suggestion of a friend that had multiple pairs of Pineapple Phi earrings. I dove in head first and haven’t looked back. While I continue to offer fiber wall hangings, I’m focusing more on wearables.

My style is ever changing - I bet yours is too. When I started my Etsy shop in 2014, I thought I knew everything and had perfected my style. But style, just like knowledge, should not be static. You will notice a variety of different styles of piece in the shop - this really shows the evolution of my creative process, as I think about pieces from all angles.

What I love most about creating is that the options are infinite and output is limitless. I rarely sit down with a thought out design for a pair of earrings. Somehow the materials come together and the product is created. It gets listed in the shop and, hopefully, makes its way to your home.

When I'm not dreaming up ideas, I work full-time in higher education in Nebraska. I love keeping busy with orders and working creatively outside of my main hustle.
